Just like birds in the Winter.....I'm heading SOUTH!!!
Not only am I already disliking these cooler days that are sneakily creeping into our space here in the North East, but I'm feeling slightly cheated of a Summer since much of mine was spent lying on the sofa, leg in a cast, and being entertained by marathons of Scandal on the "tube". Where best to reclaim the warm air and powder white beaches (and elephants, lions and my all-time favorite: giraffes) other than sunny South Africa. Home to the roaring lion, the forever loved Madiba and, well, me!
For as far back as I can remember I have had a passion to write just about anything, although the lack of free time and solstice in my day-to-day life prohibits much of it. The days leading up to my trip and during my time in South Africa, I will be blogging about my summer days, endless adventures and entertaining you with pictures (only the good ones!). I am banking on good internet service at most locations, however, if it's 'spotty' it will be written at a slightly faster pace and grammar and spell-check may, or may not be a priority ;)
I shall name this trip It's all about T time since my hubby and two girls will stay home in Boston while I gallivant. I depart for London on Friday, November 7th. While there I will get to spend the day with Brett's two brothers and their adorable families. Later that night, I will board a Virgin Atlantic Airbus 330-300 flight for a long 12 and a half hour journey in the sky (nothing movies, a book and red wine won't fix). Let's all say a prayer together that T gets a great neighbor to sit next to.
